Hydrocarbon and Process

Selecting the proper lubricant for your gas compressor application is crucial. The wrong formulation or viscosity can result in excessive wear on compressor components, and even equipment failure. BVAdvanced application engineers use sophisticated computer programs to provide a detailed analysis of the compatibility of the gas stream and its dilution potential with a wide variety of lubricants. Results include the expected dilution of combined gas components on the operating viscosity of lubricants at different temperatures and pressures.

Advanced analysis tools combined with over 45 years of expertise in synthetic fluids and compressorHydrocarbon-Gas_Computer applications enable BVAdvanced to provide the right lubricant for the job. A lubricant that not only meets OEM viscosity requirements, but also delivers optimal system efficiency.

BVAdvanced engineers use advanced software to predict the solubility and operating viscosity of  different gas-lubricant combinations, an essential process in determining the best lubricant for a particular compressor application.

A very wide variety of BVAdvanced Process and Hydrocarbon compressor lubricants are available.  These range from specialty mineral oils and synthetic hydrocarbons to several types of polyalkylene glycols.  This allows our engineering staff to chose the product with the best compatibility with the gas being compressed and allows a choice with the pressure-viscosity-temperature relationship that best fits the operating conditions.  Our experts also review special considerations such as catalysts and/or the final product application’s required compatibility. Specialty additives have been developed for difficult applications such as those containing high levels of hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and water.  Registered products are available for food product gas applications. Our products include specialty patented fluids to improved performance and save energy.
