New Food Grade Air Compressor Lubricants

March 31, 2015: BVAdvanced Products Division of BVA Inc. recently commercially introduced a new high performance series of food grade compressor lubricants named FMO CL Series.  These new products are predominantly based on super refined high viscosity index white mineral oils with a new formulation that has resulted in service life performance similar to synthetic hydrocarbon lubricants.   The result is a lubricant that has outperformed our major competitor’s synthetic lubricants in oxidation tests but sold at a fraction of the cost.  It is too early to say this product is definitely an 8000 hour life rotary screw compressor lubricant, however customers are invited to try the product to help establish the life.  Other improved properties have been reduced varnish a sludge build up, and improved lubricity.  The reciprocating compressor version has shown every indication of reduced wear and lower deposits on valves.  Similarly the products have shown indications of longer life in rotary vane compressors.

This new series adds another level of performance to BVAdvanced broad line of air compressor lubricants.  The Company’s synthetic food grade rotary screw compressor lubricants have shown the ability to operate to 12,000 hours in repeated field trials and customer reports, however are still designated as one year life.
