BVA completed developing new types of corrosion inhibitors for use in process and gas compressors handling Hydrogen Sulfide and Carbon dioxide. Test studies were conducted with typical gas compositions and higher levels of H2S and water, under typical pressures and temperatures, and using OEM provided steel and bearing materials. Results were significantly superior in fighting corrosion and providing cleaner operation than competitive products. The technology has been extended to for use to include PAG, PAO, Mineral Oils. Additional tests were scheduled to evaluate the new additives for applications with pipeline brines.
